A question asked among many and discussed to the point of no return, there is
no exact state that Springfield is in. Springfield was chosen because it was,
at one time, the most common town name in the US. The only thing sure about the
location is that it is in the USA. And if you thought you heard something in "Behind
The Laughter", I'm sorry but you were wrong, it changes between Northern
Kentucky and Southern Missouri as it airs.
What is the Simpsons' address?
The Simpsons Live at 742 Evergreen Terrace although the address has been known to change in some episodes. Some other addresses are 59, 94, 723 and 1094 Evergreen Terrace.
Is Smithers Really Gay?
Yes, it was a small joke the producers came up with at the beginning and it turned it to a big joke very quickly.
Speaking of Smithers, wasn't he originally black in one episode?
Yes, in Smithers' first appearence in "Homer's Oddesey" Smithers appears to be African American, this was just an animation goof, and the producers like to say he just got back from a vacation and he was tan.
When did Dr. Marvin Monroe die?
Marvin never died in an episode but the producers didn't like him so they killed him off by making a "Dr. Marvin Monroe Memorial Hospital"
Does Comic Book Guy have a name?
No, he was never given a name and is just known by CBG(short for Comic Book Guy). Although Matt Groening jokingly named him Louis Lane.
Where do I get full episodes instead of measley clips?
Try KaZaA or Morpheus but don't try to find websites with them thanks to FOX's C&D letters.
What is a "C&D Letter"?
C&D is short for Cease and Desist. Letters were e-mailed to Simpsons sites around the globe telling the sites to remove all media that FOX owned the rights to. Also all fan sites are now required to have disclaimers. A creative friend of mine called them "Choke & Die Orders", that about sums it up.
How much is Maggie when she is scanned in the opening sequence?

Who are the Simpsons named after?
The Simpsons are named after creator Matt Groenings own family. Homer is Matt Groening's father and Marge is his mother. Lisa, Maggie, and Patty are Matt's sisters. Also, most of the other characters come from street names come from streets near Matt Groenings home town.
What is "D'oh"?
D'oh is an excalmation that Homer shouts when annoyed, it comes from a Laurel and Hardy character that would want to say "Dammit", but realize kids were present making him say "D'oooow" and it was shortened to go with Homer's fast paced voice.
Which one is Itchy and which one is Scratchy?
Itchy is the mouse and Scratchy is the cat, I forget where I heard this, but a good way to remember is that you can use letters from "Scratchy" to spell "CAT"
When Did The Simpsons Start On TV?
The show started in December on 1989 and has been running for 13 seasons with at least two more in the contracts.
